Ahoy!

Sir Francis Drake landed in Portland today! My pal was Holly and she didn't disappoint! Not only did the girl send me four balls of merino yarn in two different colorways---she dyed them herself!!! The picture isn't the best 'cause I couldn't wait for proper daylight to photograph them, but mouseover the box to see the goodies:

The top yarn is "Monet" and contains soft, yet bright (how did she do that?) shades of purple, blue, pink and green. The bottom yarn is "Aleutian" which is a gorgeous aqua & purple. Good thing for y'all that she's got an Etsy shop. *grin*
Holly also included an awesome zippered pouch (the fab polka dots) which contained some Eucalan samples. The bag is just my style and is headed for my knitting bag as we speak. She tossed in some delicious Newman's Own Caramel Cups, too.

Thank you so much Holly, my dear! And now I will start stuffing the box for my pal. . . . *oh, did I mention that the box was so full, Holly had to tie it together? Wheee!

Great yarn and bag! I love how you did the mouse-over thing on your blog. Very clever.
